During his playing career, Chauncey was a three year varsity player at Westfield High School before going off to assist in a National Championship at Faith Baptist College as point guard. After transferring and playing one final season at Mercyhurst University, he left school to become a full-time trainer and has been building his reputation as a trainer in the Northern Virginia area ever since.
In his time as a trainer, Chauncey has mentored under Drew Hanlen, founder and head trainer of Pure Sweat, which is one of the best and most famous basketball training companies in the world. Chauncey has shadowed and worked in training sessions with Drew and some of his most successful clients, including Zach LaVine (Chicago Bulls), RJ Barrett (New York Knicks) and Kelly Oubre (Golden State Warriors).
Chauncey’s unique and effective training style has made him renowned in the area for putting his athletes in game-like scenarios so that they develop skills in fast-moving and high pressure situations. He is dedicated to developing kids as players but also building relationships with them and encouraging them to be great people on and off the court.
